Advanced Practice Provider, Inpatient Acute Care Surgery Specialist

UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join our team in Inpatient Acute Care Surgery. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and collaborating with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality surgical services.
Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive initial and ongoing physical examinations, including psychological status assessments.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate patient plans of care, including ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies and results.
- Provide relevant management, referrals, counseling, and education to patients, families, and caregivers.
- Collaborate in quality-related initiatives and clinical research protocols to improve clinical and system practice performance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Master's degree or higher in nursing or a related field.
- Graduate education and related Texas Board of Nursing authorization consistent with clinical practice area and patient population.
- Licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse by the Texas State Board of Nursing.
- Authorization for prescriptive authority by the Texas Board of Nursing.
- Acute care certification required.
- Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) required.
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification by the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
