The Advanced Practice Provider, Neurosurgery, plays a vital role in the inpatient management of neurosurgical patients at Texas Health Dallas.

This position requires a highly skilled and compassionate professional who can deliver high-quality patient care in a collaborative and learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive initial and ongoing physical examinations based on age and diagnosis.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate patient plans of care, including ordering and interpreting laboratory and radiology studies.
  • Provide relevant management, referrals, counseling, and education to patients, families, and caregivers.
  • Collaborate in research projects and protocols, and identify opportunities for improvements in departmental policy and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree or higher in nursing or a related field.
  • Licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse by the Texas State Board of Nursing.
  • Authorization for prescriptive authority by the Texas Board of Nursing.
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
  • Three years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in neurosurgery or orthopedic surgery.
