Job Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Under the guidance of the Sales Manager, the Sales Associate is tasked with providing outstanding customer service, regardless of whether a purchase is made.
  • Maintain a welcoming and professional atmosphere by greeting and acknowledging every customer and colleague.
  • Exhibit reliability and responsibility in all tasks, demonstrating attention to detail and thoroughness.
  • Engage with customers on the showroom floor, assisting them with inquiries and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Conduct in-home consultations with clients when necessary, offering personalized service.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, while addressing customer service issues and requests.

Examples of Duties:

  • Promote and sell merchandise displayed in the showroom.
  • Collaborate with both internal and external customers to follow up on orders and inquiries.
  • Assist in resolving any merchandise-related issues in coordination with customer service and warehouse teams.
  • Engage customers by asking questions to better understand their needs and preferences.
  • Provide clear explanations of product features and benefits tailored to customer requirements.
  • Prepare sales documentation for completed transactions and assist customers in selecting products based on their specifications.
  • Stay informed about new products, store policies, and current promotions.
  • Maintain excellent customer relations and follow up with customers as needed.
  • Occasionally visit customer homes to conduct consultations and assist with layout design.
  • Coordinate with delivery personnel to oversee the installation of merchandise.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Compensation: Average annual salary of $65,000.

Employment Requirements:

  • Ability to lift merchandise weighing up to 40 lbs as part of the sales process.
  • Capability to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Effective listening and communication skills to address customer needs.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
  • Sales experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • A positive attitude is essential when interacting with customers and team members.

Physical Demands:

To successfully perform the essential functions of this role, the employee must be able to engage in various physical activities, including but not limited to: stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, and repetitive motions.

Work Environment: This position is primarily conducted in a climate-controlled indoor setting.
