Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Patient Registration Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately obtaining and entering demographic, insurance, and other related patient information into our computer-based patient registration/scheduling system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain and verify patient insurance coverage and follow guidelines established by insurers to ensure that pre-authorization, pre-certification, and physician referrals for treatment are obtained prior to patient visits.
  • Schedule and/or arrive Radiology, Lab, and basic ancillary service appointments.
  • Arrive and complete Emergency Department and Labor & Delivery demographic and insurance collection.
  • Coordinate the provision of multiple services to patients.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma required; Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Business or Healthcare related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of data entry experience.
  • Proficient data-entry skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong customer service skills both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology.
