This position is based in our Salt Lake City Office, and we embrace a hybrid work model. While the majority of your time will be spent in the office, you will have the flexibility to work both in-office and remotely.

This role will necessitate 30% travel.

What is the role?

  • Collaborate within a cross-functional team environment alongside Engineering, Project Management, and Marketing to provide valuable solutions while meeting objectives and maintaining acceptable profit margins.
  • Analyze customer data and offer recommendations on product applications, sizing, repair scenarios, and refurbishment options.
  • Prepare specifications, conduct specification reviews, and develop general arrangement drawings, technical data, and other sales support materials as required to meet customer needs.
  • Draft proposals and sales quotes, along with corresponding cost estimates and pricing.
  • Conduct field sales visits and deliver customer presentations in support of these activities.
  • Engage in equipment start-up and provide technical training.
  • Assess market potential and advise on pursuing or not pursuing opportunities.
  • Suggest product enhancements and standardizations.
  • Compile, develop, and supply specific equipment information to Engineering.
  • Collaborate with rebuild centers and subcontractors on the labor and repair aspects of the business.
  • Communicate with and inspire a network of representatives.
  • Develop sales tools and strategies, working with sales representatives on projects to ensure OEM status and exclusive-source positioning.
  • Travel to potential rebuild sites to determine the scope of work.
  • 30% travel is required.

Does this sound like you?

  • A B.S. degree is required or a minimum of five years of directly relevant technical experience. Sales experience is a plus. Familiarity with interpreting specifications and quoting bid-type projects is preferred. Experience in a similar field dealing with sales, bids, and drawings/blueprints is advantageous. A mechanically inclined individual is essential. Proficiency in computer skills is required.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex industry-related documents.
  • Must be capable of communicating on a technical level, both verbally and in writing, and delivering presentations.
  • Knowledge of wastewater and water treatment products and associated equipment.
  • Proficiency with personal computers using company-standard software. Familiarity with Word, Excel, and Syteline application programs is desired.
  • Must be able to meet customer site safety and access requirements as necessary.
