About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Services Coordinator Specialist to join our team at Live On Nebraska. As a crucial member of our Surgical Services team, you will play a vital role in the recovery of organs for transplantation and research.

Responsibilities
  • Provide organ procurement supplies and instrumentation to hospital OR staff and assist with proper setup of operating room.
  • Facilitate procurement, preservation, packaging, labeling, and shipment of organs.
  • Perform research allocation and recover authorized research organs/specimens.
  • Surgically cannulate kidneys and place on kidney perfusion device.
  • Maintain inventory, stock, and cleanliness of organ procurement supplies.
Requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse groups.
  • Ability to multitask, keep accurate records, perform calculations, and provide technical training.
  • Effective communication with coroners, funeral homes, hospitals, and other internal departments.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain valid driver's license and personal auto insurance.
  • Capability to travel by vehicle.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Completion of Surgical Technology program and/or Associate Degree with concentration in healthcare.
  • Two or more years of operating room experience.
