Position Overview:
In this role, you will operate under minimal oversight to deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical care, including primary health services, consultative support, and drug information resources to both patients and healthcare professionals, ensuring the highest standard of care.

Key Responsibilities:
1. **Prescription Review:** Assess prescriptions issued by authorized healthcare providers to confirm their safety and appropriateness for individual patients; engage with prescribers as needed to clarify any ambiguous or unclear prescriptions.
2. **Medication Dispensing:** Accurately prepare and dispense medications as prescribed, adhering to established protocols for compounding and dispensing.
3. **Patient Interaction:** Conduct interviews to gather patients' medication histories and provide counseling on their current medication regimens.
4. **Educational Support:** Identify patients in need of education and supply relevant instructional materials; collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient education.
5. **Supervision and Training:** Oversee, instruct, and mentor support staff (including technicians, interns, and clerks) in the preparation and dispensing of medications and related tasks.
6. **Inventory Management:** Maintain an organized inventory of medications and pharmacy supplies, ensuring compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.
7. **Regulatory Compliance:** Uphold adherence to all pertinent regulations and standards related to pharmacy practice, medication safety, and patient confidentiality.
8. **Policy Development:** Formulate and implement policies and procedures aimed at enhancing workflow efficiency and patient care quality.
9. **Collaboration:** Work in partnership with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and nurses, to coordinate patient care and medication management.
10. **Quality Improvement:** Engage in quality enhancement initiatives and support accreditation processes.
11. **Professional Development:** Stay informed about advancements in pharmacy practice, infusion therapy, and healthcare regulations through ongoing education and professional growth activities.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctorate of Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Registered Pharmacist in Michigan or eligibility for licensure, along with the necessary Controlled Substance license.
