Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing digital mammograms of the breast at a technical level that will produce high-quality mammographic images consistent with established policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Specialize in the production of screening and diagnostic mammograms for the detection of breast tumors.
  • Obtain patient history, explain standard procedures, and address patient concerns to foster a sense of comfort and confidence in patients.
  • Operate and maintain all assigned mammography equipment to ensure it works properly.
  • Position patients and move mammographic equipment to specific positions and adjust controls to set exposure factors based on knowledge of radiographic exposure techniques and protocols.
  • Complete quality assurance processes and practice radiation safety to reduce exposure to patients, staff, and self.
Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an AMA-approved school of radiology technology.
  • Certified in general radiologic technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
  • Certified in mammography by American Registry of Radiologic Technologist.
  • Current BLS certification.
