As a Community Wellness Program Coordinator, you will support a team of Regional Program Managers in training, deploying, and supervising near-peer college mentors from local universities to effectively deliver HealthCorps' established programs in various educational settings.

The initiative includes health-promoting events such as our Teens Make Health Happen Club, campus activities, and community outreach events.

  • Assess Community Needs: Conduct research on the health disparities affecting the community and measure your impact through comprehensive reporting and tracking.
  • Support Program Delivery: Facilitate the successful execution of HealthCorps' program activities and health-promoting events throughout the academic year, including mentor scheduling and logistical support.
  • Direct Engagement: Actively deliver HealthCorps programs in educational and community settings, including teaching sessions and hosting educational events.
  • Promote Awareness: Utilize your creativity to support the development and promotion of HealthCorps initiatives through various channels.
  • Commit to Our Mission: Prioritize health and wellness in your daily activities, ensuring accessibility for all and leaving a positive impact on the community.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Recent graduates with a commitment to health, education, and community service are encouraged to apply.
  • Self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and creative.
  • Experience or interest in mentoring youth and building relationships.
  • Passion for addressing health disparities in community or educational contexts.
Skills:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to implement innovative programs.
  • Growth mindset with a focus on professional and personal development.
  • Ability to connect and collaborate with diverse individuals and groups.
  • Commitment to cultural awareness and challenging inequitable practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; bilingual skills are a plus.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work at a desk and on a computer for extended periods.
  • Willingness to travel within the designated region.
  • Occasional travel for training and retreats may be required.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds as needed.
Benefits:

This is a full-time, salaried position with a comprehensive benefits package. Compensation will be determined based on qualifications, skills, experience, and location.
