The estimated annual salary for this position is between $45,000 and $65,000, depending on location and experience.

Job Description

As an Assembler I in the Track department, you will be responsible for assembling and fabricating rail components such as frogs, switch rods, switch points, guard rails, and gage plates. You will work with blueprints, engineering change documents, and work instructions to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow instructions from blueprints, engineering change documents, and work instructions
  • Manually assemble, fabricate, grind, and fit together rail components
  • Work in a manufacturing environment with industrial equipment and mechanics

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Prior machine or grinder experience preferred
  • Ability to multitask and work with minimal supervision
  • Must be familiar with manufacturing environment, use of industrial equipment and mechanics, and ability to use various hand and power tools and measuring devices
  • Must be able to read a tape measure to the 1/32" and have experience using other instruments such as gauges, calipers, etc.
  • Must be able to read and write legibly and complete production reports with accuracy
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to inspect rail using measuring devices
