Requirements:High school diploma required, along with a Technical/Vocational certificate and 2 to 3 years of relevant facilities and maintenance experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience, or a demonstrated capability to perform the job duties, will be considered. Experience with general construction, groundskeeping, and/or prior facilities maintenance is required.
Knowledge of basic HVAC (heating/air conditioning), plumbing, and electrical systems is essential, as well as familiarity with OSHA and safe work practices.
Ability to gather and convey accurate information and measurements is necessary.
Must be able to perform basic mathematical operations using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
Ability to work independently is required.
Proficient computer skills, including email, internet, data entry, and database management, are necessary.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, including the ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions and correspondence, as well as effectively present information in one-on-one and group settings.
Strong organizational and time management skills are crucial; the ability to prioritize multiple tasks is required.Must possess manual dexterity and physical stamina, including the ability to use hand tools and power tools. Must use judgment in determining when a specialized, licensed technician is necessary for major repairs or replacements.
Familiarity with common cleaning products and equipment is beneficial.
A general passion for creative problem-solving is valued.
A valid driver's license is required.
