Gecko Hospitality is seeking a seasoned Sous Chef to join our team

As our new Sous Chef, you will be responsible for managing daily kitchen operations, maintaining high-quality standards, and leading a team of culinary professionals. You will work closely with our Head Chef to ensure seamless execution of menu items, maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, and foster a positive and productive team culture.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the Head Chef in menu planning, inventory management, and kitchen operations.
  • Leading a team of cooks, prep cooks, and other kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective food preparation and presentation.
  • Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety.
  • Collaborating with the kitchen team to develop and implement new menu items and promotions.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef in a fine dining establishment.
  • Proven track record of success in managing kitchen operations, leading a team, and maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, menu planning, and inventory management.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
