Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform a variety of Nuclear Medicine procedures utilizing multiple types of gamma cameras, adhering to proper injection techniques and protocols.
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals via IV when indicated, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Prepare exam rooms, communicate with patients, obtain informed consent when necessary, and request accurate clinical histories for exams.
  • Select appropriate imaging techniques and protocols to complete exams, ensuring optimal results.
Requirements:
  • Associate Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or a minimum of one year of related experience and/or training.
  • Current ARRT (R) (NM) or NMTCB as CNMT registry.
  • Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association.
