Position Overview

We are in search of a meticulous and experienced Senior Estimator to enhance our team. The Senior Estimator will play a crucial role in generating comprehensive cost estimates for significant construction projects, engaging in planning, development, negotiation, and contract execution. Additionally, this role involves conducting post-project financial and performance evaluations, offering a long-term career opportunity within a growing organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess the overall costs of materials, equipment, utilities, and labor for construction initiatives.
  • Prepare detailed estimates to facilitate planning, organization, and scheduling of project tasks.
  • Formulate estimates aligned with project objectives, including work hours, task sequencing, and material procurement.
  • Ensure timely submission of relevant documents and budgets prior to bid deadlines.
  • Provide regular updates to management and clients regarding project progress.
  • Stay informed about the latest estimating technologies and industry practices.
  • Eventually establish and lead a cohesive estimation department.
  • Recruit and mentor new estimators to meet market demands.
  • Collaborate with pre-construction teams and project managers to ensure successful project completions.
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with subcontractors and vendors.
  • Conduct post-job analyses in conjunction with Project Managers and Department Managers.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience as an estimator within the construction industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction estimating principles, methodologies, and software.
  • Familiarity with local construction codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
