Job Summary:

Serve as the Division Chief for Psychology, leading a team of psychologists in an academic medical center setting. Collaborate with other Division leaders to advance the department's mission and goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Unite a diverse group of psychologists within and across departments/specialty areas.
  • Advocate for Psychology as a profession within Upstate University Hospital.
  • Work closely with Directors of training programs to support their work and that of involved psychology faculty members.
Requirements:
  • PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology from an APA-approved program.
  • NYS license required.
  • Experience working in an academic medical center setting in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated excellent clinical, training/teaching, and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and execute a successful clinical specialty program in any area of child or adult mental health.
  • Evidence of experience and expertise in mentoring junior faculty.
  • A track record of promoting diversity and inclusion.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with clinical research.
  • Clinical expertise in areas such as Eating Disorders, Community Mental Health, Geriatrics, Child and Adolescent, Health Psychology, Family Therapy, Parent-Child relationships, ADHD, or Psychological Assessment.
Work Environment:

Monday through Friday, with a competitive salary range (DOQ).
