Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Clinical Laboratory Specialist to join our team at Novant Health. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of laboratory procedures, including quality control, specimen collection, processing, testing, and reporting of lab results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform laboratory procedures, including quality control, specimen collection, processing, testing, and reporting of lab results.
- Assist in the evaluation of new or modified techniques when required.
- Advise and assist in the orientation and training of other personnel on equipment and software as necessary.
- Develop and maintain department quality assurance.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, hospital staff, and the public.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED, required.
- 2 Year / Associate degree in chemical, physical, or biological science, or medical laboratory or equivalent education or training, required.
- One year experience as laboratory tech, preferred.
- MLT certification (or eligible) from ASCP or AMT, required.
