Job Summary:

The Warehouse Operations Specialist supports warehouse operations by preparing, processing, and moving inventory productively, safely, and accurately per established standards and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for handling inbound merchandise from external vendors and suppliers.
  • Accountable for reading and pulling orders, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to customers.
  • Moves inventory and materials across facilities with forklift or pallet jack, maintaining a safe and efficient workflow.
  • Sorts, organizes, and stores inventory in the proper location, adhering to company standards and regulations.
  • Processes inventory for deliveries to job sites, ensuring accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders.
  • Delivers or picks up equipment and materials to/from job sites, vendors, or supply houses, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Reports damaged or missing inventory to supervisors, taking prompt action to resolve issues.
  • Updates logs and documentation for inventory processing, maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Ensures the warehouse is accessible and safe for all associates, adhering to company safety protocols and regulations.
  • Identifies incorrect/short-shipped items and immediately notifies supervisors, taking corrective action to prevent future errors.
  • Follows all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management, contributing to the overall success of the warehouse operations team.

Requirements:

  • 1+ year prior warehouse experience, with a strong understanding of inventory management and logistics.
  • Ability to operate a forklift or pallet jack, with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and flexible mindset.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies, with a positive attitude and a team player mentality.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with customers, both internal and external, with excellent customer service skills.
  • Willingness and ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization, with a strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
  • Safety mindset and acceptance of a safety culture, with a strong commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Working Conditions:

  • Warehouse environment, with frequent exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and noise levels.
  • Travel by vehicle to and from work locations, with occasional overnight travel required.
  • Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors, exposed to all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold, and wind) while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to drive and operate a motorized passenger vehicle or forklift, with the ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds frequently.
  • Frequently performs tasks requiring climbing, bending at the waist, crawling, kneeling, and crouching.
  • Must be able to work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and occasionally work on platforms/scaffolding (using the appropriate fall protection requirements).
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including but not limited to hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, masks/respirators, reflective safety vests, gloves, and safety toe, construction-grade work boots.
  • Must be able to adhere to long periods of standing, walking, or sitting, with the ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word to impart oral information to others.
  • Ability to enter text or data into a computer by means of a traditional keyboard or 10-key numeric keypad.
  • Must be able to use arms and hands to reach overhead, signal, grab, hold, lift, turn, push, and pull objects and tools.
