Senior State and Local Tax Professional

Citrin Cooperman Advisors LLC is seeking a highly skilled Senior State and Local Tax Professional to join our National Tax Practice. As one of the largest professional services firms in the nation, we offer a dynamic and challenging work environment that fosters growth and development.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the coordination of day-to-day duties, including planning, tax work, and wrap-up.
- Possess general knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws, including corporate, individual, trust, gifts, and partnership taxation.
- Perform tax research to resolve issues and contribute to a strong client relationship through positive interactions with client personnel.
- Identify and communicate tax matters to Supervisors, Managers, and Partners, and build relationships with clients and staff.
- Research state and local tax controversies and work directly with state auditors to resolve client audit issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
- CPA/JD and advance degree in taxation or in progress.
- Minimum 3-5 years multistate state and local tax experience required.
- Basic knowledge of Sales/use tax and income/franchise tax required.
- Knowledge of property tax, payroll tax, and unclaimed property helpful but not required.
- Excellent research and writing skills required.
- Outstanding analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
- Knowledge of CCH Axcess, XCM & CCH Document is a plus.
