Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team at the Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies. As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex systems and infrastructure to support our government customer located in Honolulu, Hawai'i.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain complex systems and infrastructure, including processing-intensive analytics, data storage, and real-time systems.
  • Apply systems engineering principles throughout the systems life cycle phases, from concept to retirement.
  • Collaborate with government customers and other stakeholders to ensure technical integrity and quality of work.
  • Lead initiatives to push authentication technologies to Windows and Linux hosts, SAN fabric devices, storage arrays, and multiple applications.
  • Maintain DNS and DHCP servers, and write scripts to monitor and manipulate the virtual environment using PowerCLI and PowerShell.
  • Create documentation for cloud-based migration projects, including test plans and test cases.
  • Track and fulfill changing global and regional cloud management requirements.
  • Advise Active Directory, MECM, VM/SAN Enterprise Managers on specific techniques for M365, Azure, and other cloud-based accessibility.
  • Implement and foster ITIL v4 best practices where needed.
  • Design and implement in-house software application functionality analysis methodology, including monitoring procedures, using hardware and OS monitoring tools.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science from an ABET accredited or CAE designated institution.
  • Must meet at least one of the following baseline certifications: Intermediate Level (FITSP-D, GDSA, CASP+, CCSP, Cloud+, CSSLP, GSEC) or Advanced Level (CISSO, GCIA, GCSA, GCLD, GICSP, CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP).
  • Must have Operator/Administrator/Engineering level knowledge of M365, Azure, Active Directory, MECM, VM, and SAN.
  • Ability to perform engineering activities in the Systems Engineering Lifecycle Agreement or Enterprise Process Areas.
  • Working knowledge and familiarization with the DOD System Engineering Guidebook.
  • Ability to implement and foster ITIL v4 best practices where needed.
  • Ability to write scripts with PowerCLI and PowerShell.
Clearance and Citizenship:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must have an active Top-Secret clearance, or a SECRET clearance with the ability to upgrade.
