Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain technical budgets for vehicle performance, ensuring alignment with program objectives.
  • Define and verify system requirements, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration.
  • Conduct simulations across vehicle functions, identifying potential risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Plan, execute, and analyze test methods and data, providing actionable insights to inform technical decisions.
  • Lead technical development of spacecraft missions, working closely with stakeholders to ensure successful program execution.
  • Collaborate on design documents and interface specifications, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks, developing and implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
  • Support integration and verification plans, ensuring that all systems are properly integrated and verified.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, maintaining a high level of technical expertise and staying up-to-date on the latest developments.
  • Provide mentorship to junior engineers, helping to develop their skills and expertise.
  • Manage vendor and supplier relationships, ensuring that all technical requirements are met and that vendors are held accountable for their performance.

Qualifications

  • Must possess an active TS/SCI CI Poly U.S. government-issued security clearance.
  • Minimum 13 years of engineering experience in aerospace, with a strong background in spacecraft development.
  • PhD in a relevant engineering discipline, such as aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering.
  • Experience in satellite or spacecraft development programs, with a strong understanding of system-level design and development.
  • Proficiency in Assembly, C++, MATLAB, Python, and STK, with the ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to lead complex technical projects, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Capable of independent work and collaboration within a diverse team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results.
