We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Imaging Assistant to join our team at Southwest Medical Imaging. As a Medical Imaging Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our imaging department.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for their medical imaging exams by obtaining medical histories, having patients change, and performing other required preparations.
- IV Administration: Administer IVs and run I-STAT as needed.
- Lab Work: Work up labs for next day appointments and perform other tasks assigned by management.
- Imaging Support: Assist fellow co-workers with daily tasks and provide support to the imaging department as needed.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all modalities are running on time and that all equipment is functioning properly.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent and prior experience in a medical office, radiology preferred.
- Certifications and Licenses: CPR certification and MA certification a plus.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, lift up to 25lbs frequently and up to 50lbs occasionally.
