Structural Project Management Role

We are seeking a skilled Structural Project Engineer to join our team in Maryland or Delaware. The ideal candidate will have experience working with federal, state, local, and private clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement structural analysis, evaluation, and design strategies.
  2. Review and approve structural documents for accuracy and completeness.
  3. Coordinate plan development, specification writing, and estimate preparation for bridge and transportation structure projects.
  4. Ensure quality control and quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and manage bridge inspection, design, and rehabilitation projects.
  6. Communicate effectively with governing agencies to ensure code compliance.
  7. Lead regular bridge inspections for state and local agencies.
  8. Manage and review load rating computations for structures owned by state and local agencies.
  9. Develop and coordinate design recommendation reports.
  10. Oversee and review bridge hydrology and hydraulics analyses.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in structural engineering.
  • Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering required; Master's preferred.
  • Professional Engineer licensure (optional but preferred).
  • Experience working with MDOT-SHA, MDOT-MDTA, DelDOT, and/or VDOT.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
  • PREFERRED certifications: NHI #130055 Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges and NHI #130078 Fracture Critical Inspection Techniques for Steel Bridges.
Estimated Salary Range: $85,000 - $110,000 per year
