Job Summary:

UTHealth Houston, a renowned academic health center, seeks a highly skilled Surgical Specialist to join its team. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will provide advanced medical care to patients in a surgical setting.

In this role, you will work under the direction of a surgeon to conduct complex patient care procedures and assess medical complaints. You will also perform minor surgical procedures, manage pre-operative and post-operative patients, and utilize advanced assessment skills to anticipate complex patient problems.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducts complex patient care procedures under the direction of a surgeon
  • Assesses patient's medical complaints and provides appropriate treatment
  • Performs minor surgical procedures as delegated by the supervising physician

Requirements:

We are seeking a motivated individual with a Master's degree as a Physician Assistant and current Texas licensure. Your expertise in using medical and surgical instruments and equipment is essential for this role. Previous experience in a surgical specialty is preferred.
