About the Opportunity

As a Firmware Engineer, Robotics at Amazon, you will have the opportunity to work on some of the most complex and innovative robotics projects in the world. You will be part of a team that is pushing the boundaries of what is possible with robotics and artificial intelligence.

$145,000 - $220,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits.

About the Job

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in firmware engineering, robotics, and computer science. They will have experience working with complex systems and have a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions.

You will be responsible for designing and developing cutting-edge robotic systems that drive the execution and continuous improvement of the drive units and other related technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain robotic systems for the world's largest autonomous robot fleet.
  • Contribute to the architectural design of complex systems and collaborate with peers and other teams to find solutions to challenging problems.
  • Contribute valuable feedback during peer reviews and effectively communicate with technical leadership.
Requirements

5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience, including:

  • 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
  • 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.
  • High level of proficiency with C/C++ and Python.
  • Hands-on system experience with Linux, including device drivers and multicore systems.
