We are seeking a talented Mechanical Engineering student to join our Hardware Development Engineering team for a 6-month co-op assignment. As a Robotics Engineer Co-op, you will have the opportunity to work with senior engineering staff on existing and new tools, mechanisms, modules, and systems.

Responsibilities
  • Support field failure investigations through the CAPA process, identifying and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Support the standard work of the Quality, Reliability, and Failure analysis team.
  • Statistical analysis of field performance data and KPIs.
  • Hardware root cause analysis in the lab.

In this role, you will support the quality and reliability of Amazon Robotics products deployed across Amazon's global operations. You will partner with development teams to drive lessons learned into new product designs, conduct analysis of field failures to identify product risks, and collaborate with internal teams and customers to prioritize opportunities for product improvement and drive corrective and preventative actions.

Key Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline such as Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or similar.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging experience related to hardware, software, subsystems, and firmware.
  • Experience in testing electronics and/or electro-mechanical products in a lab setting.
  • Proficiency with Minitab, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access.
  • At least one semester/term/quarter of school left to complete after the end of the co-op.
  • Eligible and available for a full-time (40 hours/week) 6-month co-op between January - June 2025.
  • Graduation is December 2025 or later.

This position reports to a Hardware Development Engineer on the Amazon Robotics team. The estimated salary for this role is around $80,000 per year, based on the company's typical salary range for similar positions in the Greater Boston Area.
