We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at San Mateo Surgery Center. As an Operating Room Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to patients undergoing surgical procedures, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop individualized care plans to address these needs.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, including medical histories, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in surgical nursing.
Requirements:
- Current California RN license.
- BLS and ACLS certification.
- Two years of recent experience in acute or outpatient care.
- Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in orthopedic, spine, gynecology, and pain management surgery.
- Knowledge of electronic medical records and other healthcare software.
