Anatomic Pathology Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Anatomic Pathology Technician to join our team at AmplifyBio. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will play a critical role in supporting our clients' toxicology, safety pharmacology, and inhalation research programs.
Key Responsibilities- Perform necropsy examinations of rodents and large laboratory animals, ensuring accurate and detailed data recording.
- Conduct tissue trimming for microscopic examination, adhering to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Operate various histology laboratory equipment, maintaining a high level of proficiency and attention to detail.
- Embed, stain, and microtome tissues, ensuring quality control and inventory management.
- Work independently or under close supervision, conducting standard and non-standard tasks while adhering to relevant GLPs, SOPs, and Study Protocol requirements.
- Participate in laboratory animal handling, carcinogen use, and other specialized tasks, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
- Bachelor's degree in biology, animal science, or a related life science, or equivalent laboratory experience of at least 2.5 years.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, adhering to chemical agent, facility, and bio-facility safety requirements.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills, with a demonstrated ability to learn new skills and adapt to changing priorities.
- Medical fitness to perform duties in a lab setting, wearing appropriate respiratory equipment, and willingness to work in a biosafety level 2 (BSL2) environment.
- Willingness to be immunized with licensed and FDA-approved vaccines and medications recommended for occupational exposure.
- Ability to work evening, weekend, and holiday hours, as needed.
