About the Role

AmplifyBio, a leading contract research organization, is seeking a highly skilled Anatomic Pathology Technician to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing necropsy examinations, tissue trimming, and quality control reviews in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).

Key Responsibilities
  • Necropsy Examinations: Perform necropsy examinations of rodents and large laboratory animals to identify any abnormalities or diseases.
  • Tissue Trimming: Trim tissues for microscopic examination and record data accurately.
  • Quality Control: Conduct quality control reviews to ensure that all laboratory activities are performed in accordance with GLP.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate various histology laboratory equipment, including tissue embedding, staining, and microtomy.
  • Inventory Management: Manage tissue and slide inventory to ensure that all samples are properly stored and tracked.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all laboratory activities, including necropsy examinations, tissue trimming, and quality control reviews.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in biology, animal science, or a related life science field.
  • Experience: At least 2.5 years of experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in a histopathology or biological sample examination role.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and laboratory animal handling procedures. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and record-keeping skills.
  • Certifications: Must be willing to obtain any necessary certifications or training to perform the duties of the role.
