SMS Staffing Inc. is actively seeking experienced individuals for the role of Senior Warehouse Operations Supervisor.

Job Title: Senior Warehouse Operations Supervisor

Job Type: Temp to Hire

Compensation: Starting at $21 per hour, commensurate with experience

Shift Schedule: 1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and mentor warehouse staff, including scale operators and material handlers.
  • Organize, store, and allocate materials as per operational directives.
  • Facilitate the movement of materials to and from stock areas for assembly operations.
  • Manage the processing and printing of move tickets based on pick lists.
  • Document work order numbers for all processed pick slips.
  • Coordinate and assign tasks to warehouse personnel to ensure timely material distribution to production.
  • Maintain communication with production teams regarding any schedule modifications.
  • Transfer finished goods from shipping areas to designated storage racks.
  • Adhere to OSHA regulations and company safety protocols.
  • Utilize personal protective equipment, including ear and eye protection.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Ability to read and comprehend all necessary warehouse documentation.
  • Familiarity with inventory management processes.
  • Strong attention to detail for accurate inventory record-keeping.
  • Capability to obtain a forklift operating license.
  • Proficient in computer usage for inventory tracking.
  • Skilled in operating handcarts, pallet jacks, and order pickers.
