Job Summary

The Salvation Army Central Territory is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance & Custodial Operations Manager to oversee the maintenance and upkeep of our facilities. This is a critical role that requires a strong background in facilities management, maintenance operations, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance Operations: Oversee the maintenance and repair of all facilities, including buildings, grounds, and equipment.
  • Custodial Services: Manage the custodial team and ensure that all facilities are clean and well-maintained.
  • Facilities Management: Develop and implement facilities management plans to ensure that all facilities are safe, functional, and meet regulatory requirements.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and train a team of maintenance and custodial staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Vendor Management: Manage contracts with vendors and service providers to ensure that maintenance and repair services are provided in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including work orders, inventory, and equipment maintenance.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in facilities management, maintenance operations, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance operations, facilities management, or related field; prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • Certifications: Valid driver's license and completion of Safe From Harm training within the first 90 days of employment.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team; proficiency in Microsoft products and ability to learn electronic reporting systems.
