We are seeking a highly skilled Therapist, SA to join our team at Rappahannock Area Community Services Board. As a key member of our staff, you will provide therapeutic care and case management services to individuals requiring substance abuse treatment.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct Intake Interviews and Assessments: Meet with clients to conduct thorough intake interviews, make assessments, and develop diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Provide Problem-Solving and Supportive Therapy: Engage with clients to provide problem-solving and supportive therapy, including individual, group, and family therapy sessions.
- Crisis Intervention and Risk Assessments: Provide crisis intervention services and conduct risk assessments to ensure client safety.
- Case Management and Documentation: Input psychological data into agency systems, prepare and maintain participant case documentation, and coordinate individual case management services.
- Expert Testimony and Referrals: Provide expert testimony in court and legal proceedings, and refer clients to inpatient treatment providers as needed.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Master's Degree in Behavioral Sciences: A Master's degree in a relevant field, such as counseling or psychology.
- Clinical Experience: Some clinical work experience in the treatment of substance abuse populations.
- Licensure and Certifications: A valid VA driver's license and a VA license as LCSW, LPC, or LCP.
