Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Therapist, SA to join our team at Rappahannock Area Community Service Board. The successful candidate will provide therapeutic care and case management services for individuals requiring substance abuse treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct intake interviews, make assessments, and develop diagnosis and treatment plans.
  • Provide problem-solving and supportive therapy to individuals and their families.
  • Conduct group, individual, and family therapy sessions, including substance abuse group therapy.
  • Provide crisis intervention services and risk assessments.
  • Input psychological data to agency staff for individual placements, care, and treatment.
  • Consult with representatives of other agencies and provide and coordinate individual case management services.
  • Prepare lesson plans and training materials for educational/treatment programming.
  • Provide expert testimony in court and legal proceedings.
  • Refer individuals to inpatient treatment providers and assist newly discharged individuals.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in the Behavioral Sciences.
  • Valid VA driver's license.
  • VA license as LCSW, LPC, or LCP.
