Key Responsibilities
  • Recognize and Evaluate Injuries: Utilize your expertise to identify and assess injuries, providing timely and effective treatment to our patients.
  • Provide First Aid and Emergency Care: Respond to emergency situations and provide first aid as needed, ensuring the well-being of our patients.
  • Develop and Implement Rehabilitation Programs: Design and implement comprehensive rehabilitation programs to help our patients recover from injuries and achieve optimal health.
  • Prevent Injury and Illness: Develop and implement strategies to prevent injuries and illnesses among our patients, promoting a culture of wellness and safety.
  • Serve as an Athletic Trainer: Work closely with our patients, coaches, and school personnel to provide athletic training services, including injury prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation.
  • Maintain and Strengthen Relationships: Foster strong relationships with our patients, families, and community partners, ensuring excellent customer service and satisfaction.
  • Provide Onsite Athletic Training Services: Offer athletic training services at practices, games, and scrimmages, ensuring our patients receive top-notch care in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Continuing Education and Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest research, techniques, and best practices in athletic training, attending company-sponsored continuing education events and using our continuing education allowance to attend approved courses.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training or Related Field: Possess a degree in athletic training or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • CAATE Accreditation: Graduate from a Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE) accredited athletic training program.
  • Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers (BOC) Certification: Hold certification as an athletic trainer from the BOC.
  • Licensure: Possess licensure as an athletic trainer in the state of Illinois.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Demonstrate excellent communication skills, including the ability to manage the triage of patients and develop relationships with patients, families, and community partners.
