**Investment Portfolio Leader**
As a vital member of the Investment Solutions division, you will be responsible for the creation, management, and oversight of investment portfolios and strategies that support our Global Financial Solutions (GFS) and Global Acquisitions (GA) initiatives at RGA Reinsurance Company. Your primary objective will be to formulate and recommend liability-driven investment strategies that align with our objectives of securing new insurance business. It is essential that these strategies not only fulfill our operational requirements but also take into account our investment risk appetite and asset-liability management (ALM) alignment.
Core Responsibilities
- Act as the main liaison for various teams and stakeholders.
- Provide leadership and guidance for investment solutions.
- Establish and nurture relationships and strategic partnerships with both external and internal collaborators.
- Advise on credit-related pricing assumptions for prospective business opportunities.
- Oversee strategies for new business transactions, including pricing and repositioning efforts.
- Manage the execution of asset strategies and communicate repositioning plans effectively.
- Facilitate discussions on ALM risks and investment-related issues.
- Review and present investment performance reports.
- Mentor and develop team members as necessary.
- Perform additional duties as required.
**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**
Required:
• MBA with 5 to 15 years of relevant experience OR Bachelor's degree in Economics/Finance with over 10 years of pertinent experience.
Preferred:
• Advanced degrees, ASA, FSA, or CAIA certifications.
• 5+ years of experience in corporate credit.
• 5+ years of experience in alternative investments.
• 5+ years of experience in fixed income management within an insurance context.
**SKILLS AND ABILITIES**
Required:
• Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
• Comprehensive understanding of investment and market principles.
• Advanced knowledge of asset-liability management.
• Proficiency in Excel/VBA, Bloomberg, and BlackRock Solutions.
• Strong business insight.
