Position Overview:
Full-time role; eligible for benefits 10-hour shifts from 7 AM to 5:30 PMAt Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional pediatric healthcare for infants, children, and adolescents facing complex medical challenges.
Recognized across various specialties by U.S. News & World Report, we offer access to cutting-edge treatments and therapies. Our teaching hospital features over half of its 259 beds allocated to intensive care services, establishing us as the primary pediatric referral center for the west coast of Florida. We are relied upon by physicians and community hospitals to manage critically ill patients and execute intricate surgical interventions.
The Operating Room at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital OR includes 10 fully equipped surgical suites and 2 specialized procedure rooms, catering to pediatric patients of all acuity levels. Our primary specialties include ENT, Urology, and Orthopedics, along with a diverse range of cases in general surgery, plastic surgery, gastroenterology, neurosurgery, dental, and ophthalmology.

Role Summary:
The Pediatric Patient Care Associate (PPCA) is responsible for executing direct patient care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, while also performing various tasks as designated by competency documentation. The role may occasionally require internal communication beyond the immediate workgroup to share pertinent information. Interaction with external contacts involves delivering factual information.
Qualifications and Experience:
A minimum of a High School diploma, GED, Certificate of Completion, or equivalent achievement Preferred experience in a pediatric healthcare environmentRequired Credentials:
Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Medical Assistant (MA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or other healthcare-related certification OR One year of experience in a clinical environment providing patient care OR An external candidate enrolled in an accredited BSN program OR A current employee of JHACH enrolled in either an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) program or an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) program, having completed Fundamentals of Nursing Practice.
