Position Overview
The selected individual will take on the role of Pilot-in-Command (PIC) alongside a qualified Second-In-Command (SIC) for a Lear 45XR in a business aviation setting governed by 14 CFR Part 91. The PIC is entrusted with ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers while managing the efficient operation of the aircraft.
The PIC collaborates closely with the SIC to guarantee that all flight and ground operations adhere to FAA regulations. They foster a supportive team atmosphere in the cockpit and jointly make informed decisions regarding potential delays, rerouting, or cancellations.
In addition to flying duties, pilots may be required to perform various departmental responsibilities when not in the air, which may include attending crew meetings and restocking the cabin.
Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates who exhibit exceptional attention to detail, a professional demeanor, and outstanding customer service skills.
This role is based at Willow Run Airport (KYIP), and candidates must reside within a two-hour radius of the airport. As a pilot with Pentastar Aviation, crew members can anticipate flying approximately 275 hours annually with around 125 days of travel each year.
Required Credentials
- FAA ATP Certificate with Multi-Engine Rating
- FAA First Class Medical Certificate
- Minimum of 3000 hours of Total Flight Time
- Valid US Passport
- Experience in a multi-crew environment
- Bachelor's degree in aviation or a related discipline preferred
- Flexibility to adapt to a varied work schedule
- Prior experience with Lear 40 series preferred
- FSI or CAE-trained Lear 45 current and qualified candidates will be highly regarded
