About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Specialist to join our team at OceanFirst Bank. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our financial reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily reconciliations of general ledger, correspondent bank, and DDA accounts related to bank operations.
  • Coordinate general ledger entries related to bank reconciliations, including ATM/ITM settlement.
  • Ensure all transactions are accurately accounted for within the reconciliation.
  • Research and resolve reconciliation discrepancies, escalating to management as needed.
  • Analyze workflow disruptions and collaborate with stakeholders to determine root causes and action plans.
  • Evaluate processes to identify efficiency opportunities and make recommendations to management.
  • Lead and coordinate activities of lower-level staff members performing reconciliations.
  • Direct retail branch network regarding research and questions.
  • Respond to internal and external audit requests.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 3-5 years of reconciliation experience, preferably in a banking environment.
