Veterinary Emergency Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Emergency Specialist to join our team at Ethos Veterinary Health. As a critical member of our Emergency and Critical Care department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and collaborating with our team of dedicated veterinarians and specialists.
Key Responsibilities- Triage and manage patients and clients throughout their visit, ensuring seamless communication and care.
- Partner with veterinarians to assess, diagnose, and treat patients, utilizing advanced medical knowledge and skills.
- Collect and process laboratory samples, including blood, urine, and fine needle aspirates, to inform patient care decisions.
- Utilize imaging modalities to assess patient conditions and develop effective treatment plans.
- Administer sedation and anesthesia, monitoring patients closely to ensure safe and successful procedures.
- Assist with minor surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and adhering to strict protocols.
- Provide inpatient care, including treatments and nursing duties, to ensure patients receive comprehensive care.
- Calculate and administer medications, fluids, and other treatments as prescribed by veterinarians.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a veterinary hospital setting, with a preference for ECC experience.
- RVT, VTS, or VACSP certification is preferred but not required.
- Comprehensive understanding of anesthetic monitoring and proficiency in processing laboratory specimens.
- Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, with a commitment to developing long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and the community.
