Veterinary Internal Medicine Specialist Technician

Ethos Veterinary Health is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Internal Medicine Technician to become an integral part of our team. Our state-of-the-art facility operates around the clock, providing exceptional care in emergency services, critical care, internal medicine, radiology, and cardiology.
Work Schedule:
Tuesday to Friday, 8 AM to 6 PM (4-10 hour shifts)
Position Overview:
The Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) will be the primary support for our Internist, playing a crucial role in delivering top-notch patient care. We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality while respecting the individual circumstances that may influence our clients' decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Veterinarians in managing medical treatments for both inpatients and outpatients in Internal Medicine, including patient triage and preparation of care plans.
- Identify and manage potentially contagious or zoonotic diseases, adhering to strict isolation and safety protocols.
- Collect, prepare, and process laboratory samples according to established guidelines.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient vitals, treatments, medications, and laboratory tests.
- Perform or assist with radiographic procedures.
- Administer anesthetic procedures, including preparation, induction, monitoring, and recovery.
- Educate clients on effective home care practices using clear communication techniques.
Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates who possess:
- Comprehensive knowledge of veterinary practices, procedures, and terminology, including common disease states and treatment protocols.
- Proficiency in operating patient monitoring, laboratory, radiographic, and anesthetic equipment.
- Strong mathematical skills for accurate calculations related to drug dosages and client invoicing.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to maintain professionalism and a positive attitude in a dynamic work environment.
- A valid RVT License.
