Product Owner

Insight Global is seeking a Product Owner to join one of our largest financial clients in either Denver, CO or Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Business Analyst and at least 3-5 years working as a Product Owner. They should have experience writing user stories and be comfortable working with executive leaders. A financial background and knowledge of compliance or adherence to regulation are also highly desirable. Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, prioritize, and communicate product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
  • Owning and maintaining the product backlog, ensuring it is well-organized, up-to-date, and aligned with the overall product vision and business goals.
  • Translating high-level business requirements into clear and actionable user stories, ensuring they contain well-defined acceptance criteria and align with technical capabilities.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders and the development team, ensuring communication flows seamlessly and stakeholder needs are effectively addressed.
  • Regularly engaging with stakeholders to gather feedback, capture user insights, and validate that the product is meeting their expectations.
  • Providing guidance and support to the development team, clarifying requirements, resolving queries, and ensuring a shared understanding of the user stories.
  • Continuously monitoring project progress, tracking key performance indicators, and ensuring the product is delivering the intended value to customers.
  • Actively participating in retrospectives to identify areas for improvement within the development process and taking actions to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Staying current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, leveraging this knowledge to identify opportunities for product enhancement and innovation.
  • Managing stakeholder expectations, anticipating and addressing concerns, and ensuring a positive collaborative working environment.
