Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Schools Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing programs that support student success, building partnerships with community organizations, and providing leadership and guidance to school staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement programs that support student academic achievement, social-emotional growth, and character development.
- Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations to provide resources and support to students and families.
- Provide leadership and guidance to school staff on issues related to student support and community engagement.
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other school staff to develop and implement student support plans.
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
- Master's degree or enrollment in a master's degree program prior to beginning employment.
- Administrative Services Credential.
- Minimum 5 years of successful experience working with students.
- Valid California Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to relate well to all members of the educational community.
- Knowledge of California Professional Standards for Educational Leaders, Teaching Profession, School Counselors and School Psychologists related to creating and maintaining a positive school culture and effective classroom environments.
- Principles and practices of organization and administration of grant-funded programs.
- Community resources specializing in services supporting at-risk youth.
- Applicable state and federal laws, regulations, Ed Code and MUSD policies.
- Budget preparation and monitoring.
- Staff development and training methods.
- Concepts of grammar and punctuation as it relates to communication and grant reporting.
- Awareness of and a demonstrated ability to identify Community Resources.
- Current trends and research concerning the growth and development of children.
- Research methods, report writing and data collection.
