Position Overview

The Senior Recruiter is essential in the consulting, sourcing, and recruitment of senior-level and specialized roles.

The Senior Recruiter will devise and execute effective recruitment strategies that demonstrate a profound understanding of the business landscape.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing:
Conduct research to build diverse talent pipelines based on projected needs and insights from business leaders. Initiate and maintain strategic, multi-channel discussions with external audiences to attract both passive and engaged candidates to Xcel Energy. Cultivate and sustain long-term stakeholder relationships.

Business Partnerships:
Forge strong relationships and integrate with various business sectors to act as a consultative partner. Provide expert guidance that reflects a deep understanding of the business and the talent market.

Recruitment Strategy Development:
Formulate and implement recruitment strategies and plans. Leverage data and analytics to assess success and adjust strategies as necessary to enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness.

Full-Cycle Recruitment:
Responsible for managing the entire recruitment process, including senior-level requisitions that require complex offer packages and strategic negotiations. Collaborate effectively with stakeholders and employ advanced sourcing techniques. Clearly outline and execute tactics and timelines for sourcing, service, assessment, and selection.

Continuous Improvement Initiatives:
Work with stakeholders to establish best practices and encourage innovative ideas to drive ongoing improvement efforts. Support the team in enhancing knowledge of talent acquisition practices and processes. Assist in coordinating talent acquisition programs and perform additional duties as assigned.

Data Analytics:
Utilize analytical tools and metrics to monitor and drive actions aimed at improving candidate and hiring leader experiences, service standards, and personal performance. Adjust strategies as needed to enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
5-7 years of experience in full-cycle recruitment, including direct sourcing and corporate recruitment, with a consultative partnership approach to define talent needs.
Willingness to travel occasionally as required.
Experience in direct sourcing/recruiting, preferably in a corporate environment.
Proven track record in developing and executing recruitment plans and strategies, including diversity recruitment initiatives.
Strong understanding of EEO and Affirmative Action principles, as well as employment law.
Demonstrated ability to utilize talent acquisition metrics to influence each stage of the recruitment funnel.
