Job Title: Mental Health Crisis Intervention Specialist

About the Opportunity

In this challenging role, you will provide crisis stabilization services to adults at imminent risk of hospitalization and out-of-home placement. Your expertise will focus on acquiring basic living skills such as personal hygiene maintenance, food preparation, and adequate nutrition management.


Responsibilities
  • Provide crisis stabilization services to adults in need, including developing a therapeutic relationship and implementing safety plans.
  • Link clients to necessary outpatient treatment providers, including counseling, medication management, and group therapy.
  • Maintain accurate client documentation and prepare timely reports according to internal policies and procedures.

Requirements
  • Licensed or registered as a QMHP - A/C (Qualified Mental Health Professional specializing with adult/children populations) by the Commonwealth of Virginia Board of Health Professions.
  • Cannot be employed with multiple Community Based agencies.
  • Must have and continue to receive training in the characteristics of mental illness and appropriate interventions.

Estimated Salary Range: $45,000 - $65,000 per year based on experience and location.
