Job Summary

We are seeking a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) to join our team at Michigan Medicine. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing nutrition care to patients, precepting dietetic interns, and working closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nutrition care to patients, including assessments, counseling, and education
  • Precept dietetic interns and provide guidance and support
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Participate in departmental and interdisciplinary meetings, task forces, and projects
  • Complete competency assessments and maintain competency standards
  • Contribute to the training and orientation of new employees
  • Work a specified shift and ensure appropriate RDN coverage during hours of operation
  • Accurately report productivity and time study data
  • Contribute to caseload smoothing within and among RDN teams
  • Adhere to deadlines established by the Nutrition Services Manager

Requirements

  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) with active registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
  • Ability to walk and stand in the patient care environment for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in nutrition-related field
  • Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE)
  • Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC)
  • Certified Specialist in Oncology Nutrition (CSO)
  • Certified Specialist in Renal Nutrition (CSR)
  • Certified Specialist in Pediatrics (CSP)
