Industrial Maintenance Supervisor

PrideNow is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Supervisor to join our team in Oak Creek, WI. This is a direct hire, exempt position with a salary range of $105k-$120k dependent on experience.
The ideal candidate will have a background in food manufacturing and be able to work every other Saturday. The Industrial Maintenance Supervisor plays a key role in developing the maintenance team's ownership, skills, and execution of Standard Maintenance Practices, the Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS), and Process Control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the team while also performing hands-on tasks on state-of-the-art industrial equipment and facilities maintenance.
- Ensure regulatory compliance regarding health & safety, quality, HR, and environmental standards.
- Improve the reliability of production lines and reduce machinery downtimes.
- Support building the maintenance team's technical and functional capabilities.
- Lead and support the strategic performance development of the maintenance team to continually improve maintenance strategies and equipment efficiencies.
- Oversee preventive, predictive maintenance, MRO Inventory control, and planning.
- Support teamwork between maintenance and other departments.
- Actively participate in daily production meetings as a key component of the operating team.
- Manage the employee experience, including safety, performance, enforcement of company policies, resolution of team/personnel issues, time & attendance, etc.
Competencies:
- Experience in a supervisory capacity in an industrial environment with knowledge of predictive and preventive maintenance.
- Strong planning skills to manage shift operations.
- Proactive mindset and flexibility are important, as well as the ability to work under just-in-time pressures.
- Ability to take control of situations and follow them through to a successful end-result.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Solid problem-solving and decision-making skills, sense of urgency, attention to detail, ability to execute multiple tasks, and meeting deadlines.
- A positive, "can-do" attitude.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position manages all employees of the department and is responsible for performance management and hiring of employees within that department.
Education & Experience:
- This position usually requires a minimum of an Associate's degree in a related field.
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance and supervisory experience.
- Available for weekend and off-shift hours.
- Attention to detail and effective follow-through.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong computer and administrative skills (MS Office, CMMS, payroll system, etc.).
Working Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, heat, and extreme cold, and food allergens. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
An office space is available for administrative tasks. Enter and work within temperature-controlled environments of -10 to 85 degrees. Some assignments may involve exposure to noise, chemicals, biohazards, and various forms of radiation. Some assignments could be extremely dangerous in the event of dizziness, loss of consciousness, or loss of balance. Working conditions are normal for a food manufacturing plant. Food safety practices are followed and upheld to the full extent. Work will involve lifting of raw materials, finished cases of bread, and ingredients. All employees will be required to wear a slip-resistant safety steel toe shoe.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
