Position Title: Senior Compression Analyst
Reports to: Technical Services Manager
Job Summary: The Senior Compression Analyst is responsible for evaluating operational processes, identifying failures, and implementing maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and enhance operational efficiency. This role involves recommending diagnostic parameters to identify potential issues, as well as suggesting improvements to safety protocols. The analyst will develop programs for the assessment of compression equipment and conduct minor corrective actions through mechanical and diagnostic testing utilizing advanced technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct vibration testing and analysis (50%)
- Generate detailed vibration reports (25%)
- Collaborate closely with the service manager (10%)
- Provide technical and health, safety, and environmental training (15%)
Additional Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
All employees are expected to adhere to the Archrock Health, Safety, and Environmental Policy, as well as comply with local and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills and Competencies:
The ideal candidate will possess the ability to:
- Execute all essential functions effectively.
- Utilize advanced tools and software for data collection and performance analysis.
- Apply mechanical and engineering knowledge to comprehend service and equipment requirements.
- Inspect malfunctioning equipment on-site, engage with stakeholders, gather data, and perform fault analysis.
- Identify root causes of performance issues and document findings for internal communication.
- Interpret complex schematics, blueprints, and operational manuals.
- Read and apply technical information related to compression systems, field operations, emissions standards, and equipment failure analysis.
- Coordinate with various teams to resolve operational delays and ensure effective communication.
- Demonstrate interpersonal skills to motivate and influence team members while adapting to changing environments.
- Develop comprehensive analysis programs for equipment performance monitoring.
- Establish protocols for condition monitoring and diagnostics of machinery.
- Perform minor corrective actions and analyze pulsation in gas and liquid systems.
- Conduct inspections using video scope and boroscope technology.
- Implement vibration control techniques and best practices.
- Recommend operational procedures and technical resources to enhance efficiency.
Technical Proficiency:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), Ariel Performance, and Windrock software.
Knowledge Requirements:
In-depth understanding of vibration analysis and mechanical systems, including various engine and compressor types.
Educational Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Certification as a Vibration Institute's Category II Vibration Analyst and Windrock Compressor Analyst Level III or equivalent is preferred.
Experience:
A minimum of 10 years of field operational experience is typically required, with at least 5 years in vibration and reciprocating analysis roles.
Leadership Expectations:
This position may involve serving as a resource for knowledge transfer and training, with occasional team leadership responsibilities.
Physical Requirements:
Regularly required to stand, walk, and perform tasks that require good balance and manual dexterity. The role may involve lifting and moving items up to 10 pounds.
Problem Solving and Innovation:
The Senior Compression Analyst will provide solutions to complex problems, requiring evaluation of various factors and innovative approaches to enhance operational efficiency.
