Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Patient Care Associate to join our Cardiac Stepdown team at Mercy. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the individualized care of patients to achieve their highest level of wellness.
  • Work cooperatively with other healthcare professionals as part of a team to recognize the importance of group goals.
  • Perform designated clinical procedures and non-clinical support tasks essential to providing care to patients.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient data and medical records.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to optimize patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities to ensure and enhance the quality of patient care.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
