Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Patient Care Associate to join our team at Mercy South. As a key member of our care team, you will work closely with our nursing staff to provide individualized care to our patients, promoting their highest level of wellness.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the individualized care of patients, working under the direction of the RN or LPN.
  • Perform designated clinical procedures and non-clinical support tasks essential to providing care to patients.
  • Work cooperatively with others as part of a team, recognizing the importance of group goals.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
  • Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
Requirements
  • High school diploma, G.E.D, CNA/CPTC, or enrolled in a healthcare career program through their high school curriculum.
  • No previous experience required; Mercy will provide a required 175-hour training program for new hires.
  • BLS certification required within one month of hire.
  • Completion of PCA competencies within 3 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
