Amentum is seeking a skilled HVAC Mechanic to join our team at Fort Carson, Colorado. As an HVAC Mechanic, you will be responsible for the installation, service, and repair of environmental control systems.
Key Responsibilities- Mount compressor, condenser units, and air handlers using hand tools following blueprint, engineering specifications, and manufacturer recommendations.
- Read and interpret instructions and documentation, and plan work activities.
- Maintain, repair, and replace or install a broad range of HVAC equipment and support systems for operation and maintenance activities.
- Repair and fabricate ductwork using sheet metal hand tools and shop fabrication equipment.
- Troubleshoot and replace defective breaker controls, contactors, thermostats, switches, fuses, and electrical wiring to repair installed units using electrician's hand tools.
- Install, repair, replace, maintain, troubleshoot, and service air conditioners, condensing units, air-cooled chillers, walk-in coolers/freezers, air handlers, gas/oil-fired steam/hot water boilers, furnaces, RTUs, and MAUs.
- Minimum of 4 years Journey-Level experience and CFC certification.
- Ability to work under limited supervision and lift up to 75 lbs.
- DDC Controls and Heavy Refrigeration experience required.
- Must have and maintain a Colorado driver's license.
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug test.
