About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). As a Direct Support Professional I Kilgore, you will play a vital role in maintaining a healthy, safe, and therapeutic environment for our consumers.
Responsibilities- Maintain a safe and healthy living environment for consumers by assisting with daily life activities, including meal preparation, personal care, and housekeeping.
- Support consumers with their goals and objectives outlined in their individual plans of care.
- Assist consumers with money management, budgeting, banking, and shopping.
- Ensure the maintenance of the home and grounds are done as requested.
- Complete all required documentation in accordance with applicable state agency(ies) and Evergreen Presbyterian Ministries, Inc. policies and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver's license that meets Evergreen requirements for insurance purposes and proof of liability coverage if a vehicle is owned.
- Meet and maintain all requirements of the applicable state agency(ies), including good standing with state abuse and neglect registry.
- Submit to and pass drug screen and criminal background check.
As a Direct Support Professional I Kilgore, you will work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. You will be required to lift and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds while assisting consumers in home, workshop, or job site. Constantly alert and aware to consumers' needs.
SalaryWe offer a competitive salary of $35,000-$45,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
